Now that I am stuck with OpenCanvas in lieu of Photoshop, I had to get used to inking freehand. Which is a PAIN. OC is cruelly lacking the Pen tool, which had seriously become my answer to everything. Sketch to ink? Pen tool! Cel-shading to make? Pen tool! Siiiiigh. I'm going to miss it.
THO what is incredible with OC is how much control you get on the size of your brush. You can get way finer lines than on Photoshop, and actually go below 1 pixel! Being stuck with round numbers was something that got a bit on my nerves on Photoshop. Also, you can flip your canvas anyway you want at any time and any angle like you would do with a sheet of paper and this is awesome! Makes the whole Freehand thing so much easier.
So yes, follow my adventures as I experiment on that new program.
About the characters... Domo, the T-rex, is an old character of mine, while the other is my good friend 's character, Blaze.
I see what you mean! I just LOVE the pen tool <33 But I like to ink free hand too though it's much harder. From what you're saying and from looking at this, OC is a better program to do that with. Good job on this! I love the way you draw bodies, as always <3
XD First of all, that quote has just made my day, June. Next, this pic is freakin' awesome and I wish I drew anatomy that well. Laterz! ^^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
